Your privacy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Who we are
threnne is a small company based in Dallas, Texas. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us anytime at info@threnne.com.
Your account
One threnne account signs you in across all threnne products. When you create an account, we store:
- Your email address
- The dates your account was created and last updated
- The specific tool and page you used to sign up
Your browser maintains a sign-in session. We also track aggregate daily totals for website visits, total sign-ups, and confirmed sign-ups.
What each tool keeps
tryst
tryst never stores your story content. It only keeps the metadata used to search, filter, and interact with your stories. This includes what you save to your library, your notes, tags, imports, and the key connecting your extension or button to your account. Your library is private. tryst never fetches pages from external sites on your behalf; the button reads the page directly in your own browser.
You can export your tryst library or delete your tryst data yourself at any time. Deleting your tryst data will not delete your core threnne account, as that same sign-in is used to access other threnne tools.
flourish
flourish keeps your account information, any feedback you submit, and a word count total each time you export. Your actual drafts stay stored locally in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
the nervous system (when open)
When open, the nervous system saves your quiz responses to help us improve the quiz. Your result type is displayed before we ask for any personal details, and providing an email address is completely optional.
courtship (when open)
When open, courtship manages each author’s reader list strictly for that specific author. We use reader lists for no other purpose, and readers who have not explicitly opted in will never receive emails from us.
slow pour (when open)
When open, slow pour may keep quiz answers and an optional email if you join its list.
the exchange (when open)
When open, the exchange keeps the profile details you share for matching beta readers and writers, and the messages needed to run a swap.
Email lists and feedback
Our tools, including the nervous system, courtship, slow pour, and the exchange, each maintain their own separate email list, and the main threnne list notifies you when a new tool launches. Joining a list means we will only write to you about that specific topic. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link.
When you send feedback through tools like tryst or flourish, your message and email address are used solely by the threnne team to read, process, and reply to your inquiry. Feedback submissions are never added to marketing email lists.
Where your data is stored
We store and process your data using industry-standard third-party infrastructure providers, including:
- Cloud hosting: To host our websites and user interfaces.
- Database management: To securely store your account details, tool metadata, and preferences.
- Email delivery services: To send transactional account emails, customer support replies, and newsletter updates.
Deleting your data
You have full control over your information. To request the complete deletion of your quiz answers, specific tool data, or your entire threnne account, simply email us at info@threnne.com, and we will process your request promptly.
